I call dibs on moderating the chat! if you want to talk about specific subjects, just label them accordingly. Also, if you're not aware, there is a chat box that acts as a live messenger. I'll usually be logged in there as well when I'm on, so feel free to talk. 

So this means, that this is a chat thread?
Sounds probably a bit better than the chat under the forum, in my opinion.   

I think this is just a thread where Ginger claims his place as the Overlord of the Random Chatting Section. Like a boss.

You can create any thread you want in this part of the forum though. If you want, you can make a general chat thread. Or a What's Up thread (I'll probably make that one at some point anyway if no-one else does). Or basically whatever you want.

Cause other members (pffft, 'other members', right) might not realize this is one? But really, nothing is stopping you unless Ginger comes here to whine about you misusing his thread.

How can someone misuse a thread which is meant to be used for chatting?

Kinda do when we're dealing with pictures. Because we want this linkable to FIMfiction, Adult WRITTEN material is probably expected here, whilst images DO have to be marked.

Simply, mark images NSFW to be on the safe side.

We have 44 members in this forum, but not even the half of them are RPing here.   
I always wonder why this happens to forums, because why even registering if you decide to not use it?

Yeah, I wonder the same  I mean, I join forums to RP. Not to consider RPing, I do the considering before I join and when I join I want to get to RPing as soon as possible.

Seriously, my process of RP forum joining goes like this:
I want to RP -> I look for a place to do so -> I find a place -> I read every important topic and some less important topics in the forum to decide on whether or not I like the place -> if I like it, I join -> I immediately go write a character sheet (or rather, I copy-paste the character sheet I wrote after deciding I like the place but before actually joining) or do other stuff that is asked of me -> I start RPing.

I never join to just sit around idly so it truly baffles me when people do that.

So what's the matter with the RP "Boarding school"? What will happen?   
It seems that BrastaAura forgot to reply in there.   

A few people seem to have difficulties with writing detailed replies with more than just one or two simple sentences.    
Maybe we should think of something to make them practice these kind of things?   
I'm just wondering.  

RPing itself is the best practice really. That and I have that one helpful topic (How to RP in this forum) in the Rules area. It doesn't really say a lot about how to write replies, but it's otherwise useful. I don't want to (...okay, that's a lie but roll with it) write things about how one should go about their actual posts though because that would be kinda elitist, condescending and not very newb friendly. If we put up high standards for replies we will suddenly run out of members. So lets let everyone play to their own skills and maybe gently teach them along the way in the RPs themselves   If you can't put up with less than perfect skills, then just let someone else be the one to play with the person and hope that they learn there.

By the way, you're not allowed to feel bad about suggesting that. It was a good question. So no bad feelings
